The history of computer games is a multifaceted phenomenon that extends beyond the purview of historians. These games have become subjects of study in cultural and media studies, computer science education, and philological research. This publication features ten contributions from twelve international authors, presenting their projects and initial results. These works are situated within or are working towards the emerging field of Digital Humanities. The »AG Spiele« group, part of the »Digital Humanities im deutschsprachigen Raum e.V.« association, aims to establish gaming and game objects as significant topics within Digital Humanities. This publication focuses on the exotic medium of the C64 screen, highlighting not only the challenges associated with preserving such a precarious object but also documenting the current state of software historiography.
