On March 31, 2026, Retro Games will release The Spectrum in a White Edition—a pure white version paying homage to the legendary millionth ZX Spectrum. It includes the Spectrum, the 8-button joystick TtheJOYSTICK, the USB stick TheMICRODRIVE, and CRASH magazine.
A matching white TheGamepad will also be available separately from the end of March. This can also be used with TheC64 (mini), TheVIC20, TheA500, TheA1200, The400, The SPECTRUM, as well as Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
On Saturday, 16 May 2026, polyplay will be attending the Amiga Ruhrpott Convention (ARC) in Duisburg for the first time with a stand.
On 1 August 2026, I’m hosting a special »Open Day« in Weimar, Thuringia, to mark the 10th anniversary of poly.play.
On the weekend of May 1–3, polyplay will once again have a booth at the Vintage Computer Festival Europe (VCFe) in Munich, Germany.
Ten years ago, I just got started – without any grand plan, but with plenty of curiosity and a great enthusiasm for old games and systems. And that was the starting point for a journey I couldn’t have foreseen back then.
The book “Commodore 64 - Past, Present, and Future of a Home Computer”, which I designed and typeset, will be published in May. It is Volume 6 of the “Computer Archäologie” series.
